Your account

Keep your profile, login credentials and reading preferences up to date.

Update your profile in the studio

User settings belong to your account across workspaces. A profile makes authorship and team lists easier to understand without changing workspace permissions.

How to use it

  1. Open the account menu and choose User settings.
  2. Update the supported profile fields, including display name, job title, bio, time zone and preferred language.
  3. Save the profile and check the resulting account identity. A display name does not replace the login email.

Good practice

  • Use a recognizable team identity and the intended time zone for scheduling defaults.

Avoid

  • Do not put passwords, customer secrets or private tokens in your bio or display name.

Change email or password

Credential changes require recent authentication. Sensitive management actions by Owners, Admins and custom managers such as creating or rotating tokens, changing roles or integration credentials, and configuring publishing policy also require sign-in within ten minutes. Email confirmation and password changes use the configured authentication/mail flow.

How to use it

  1. Open the email or password section in User settings and reauthenticate if requested.
  2. For email changes, follow the confirmation message sent by the configured mail adapter.
  3. For passwords, enter and confirm the new value, then submit. Sign out on shared devices.

Good practice

  • Use a unique password and a real reachable mailbox outside local development.

Avoid

  • The development mailbox is not production email delivery, and demonstration credentials must not be deployed.

Choose appearance and language preferences

Light, Dark and System change the interface theme. The current theme preference is saved in this browser and applies across its workspaces; profile language and content language have different purposes.

How to use it

  1. Choose Light, Dark or System in User settings → Appearance, or use the navbar theme control.
  2. Use the entry language control to edit translations; choose your profile preference separately where supported.

Good practice

  • Check contrast and readability with the theme you use, including embedded consuming websites.

Avoid

  • A UI appearance or profile preference does not translate entries or change a published locale.
